The Hellhound – The Abandoned Path

Story idea

A trade caravan is travelling through a wild desert route bringing much needed  food and water home from neighbouring villages, three men in the caravan are chatting and joking with each other.

All of a sudden 3 evil wraith like creatures burst out the sand lunging towards the caravan crew.

Cut to the Hellhound travelling through the desert on foot garbed in a red ragged hooded cloak and face mask only his piecing red eyes exposed, the Hellhound recalls talking to two men explaining to him about the wraiths attacking caravans travelling a vital trade route.( the wraiths are partially intangible leaving only a burning spirit).

The Hellhound finds a overturned caravan damaged and crew killed, appear to have been burned alive with scavenger birds picking at their remains.
The charred bones of the victims come to life for a moment , a blue soul energy emits from the bones eye sockets .
They reaches out to the Hellhound and they let out a shrill cry " SAVE US", the scavenger birds spooked flee into the air behind the Hellhound, he continues walking further into the desert.

The Hellhound stops suddenly, the ground shakes and sand rushes across the landscape towards him, three wraith like creatures burst out of the ground attacking.

Despite his best efforts the Hellhound cannot damage the wraiths, hurt badly almost beaten he summons up his remaining power to create a explosive high temperature fire spell that turns the sand to glass imprisoning the sand wraiths.


Sand wraiths description

Demons seem to be skeletal wraiths that fly through the air appear to have no legs just a upper torso
with two long arms they also travel through the sand underground and can drag things under the sand aswell as being able to burn their victims with their fiery touch, passing through people burning them from the inside.
